A logistics and supply chain company is looking to hire a Entry Writer for their customs brokerage department in Medley, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Review entry documents for accuracy and provide feedback to appropriate parties if anything is missing or incomplete.
- Review shipment ISF data and submit within the regulatory timeline and manage exceptions as required.
- Process and submit entries as required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) verify results and make corrections if necessary.
- Work with management to address any exceptions with the involved parties.
- Provide clearance status as needed to the appropriate parties.
- Execute file billing in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- One (1) year of experience managing high-volume data entries in an office environment.
- Bachelor"s degree obtained or in pursuit, in logistics, supply chain management, or related field, to include imports-related course. In lieu, one (1) year of logistics experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Familiar with U.S. Customs Regulations
- Familiarity with the HTSUS
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime, extended hours, holidays and weekends, as needed.
